Dear Prospective NTCS Family,
We are honored that you are exploring New Testament Christian School as a potential learning environment for your child for the 2020-2021 school year. The decisions made in relationship to your child’s education are among the most important a parent can make. We hope that learning more about our school will aid you in moving toward a decision that is best for your child and family.
New Testament Christian School’s purpose is to provide an engaging and relational academic environment, equipping the next generation to learn, love, and lead. The values that guide our curriculum and culture are NURTUREing Hearts for Jesus, EDUCATEing the Whole Child, CULTIVATEing Caring Community, DEVELOPing a World Class School, and INSPIREing Tomorrow’s Leaders.
Along with providing curriculum for core content subjects from a variety of Christian-based sources, our school day includes a Bible class for all grade levels. In addition, there is a school-wide chapel service each week. (Parents/guardians are invited to attend as well.) Most importantly, our teachers are committed Christians who aim to live out the Gospel each day, while at the same time inviting students into a love for learning as a way to know, love and serve God and others.
New this year--the middle and high school programs are moving to a block schedule with subject-specific licensed teachers teaching the core-content subjects, and experts in the field of study or profession coming in to teach a variety of electives. This model aligns with our vision to offer an educational experience that engages and equips students for the destiny God has designed and equipped each of them uniquely for.
All of our classrooms have multiple grades. Our current classroom configurations are: Kindergarten-2 grade, 3-5 grade, 6-8 grade, and 9-12 grade. Our student to teacher ratio is small giving teachers the ability to really know each student’s needs and abilities and tailor learning activities to meet the needs of the individual students as well as the whole class.
We work with the local school district in a variety of ways. Some ways include a sports cooperative and a music cooperative. In addition, transportation is available in most circumstances for families in District 206. For families outside of District 206, the bus is usually able to meet families near the border of the district.
We value our school both for what it offers current families for the role it will play in the future of our community. We work hard and take responsibility for providing a thriving learning environment for current families and those families who will join us in the future.
